Special Initiatives HACU and Global Learning Semesters plan to work together on a series of special initiatives to continue to improve the affordability of study abroad for Hispanic students. Our first Special Initiative relates to our study abroad programs in Madrid.Cisneros Study Abroad Scholarship The Universidad de Alcalá de Henares, a host institution partner with Global Learning Semesters, is our first Special Initiative partner. The Universidad de Alcalá has generously agreed to fund the Cisneros Study Abroad Scholarship for all HSAS students attending Global Learning Semesters semester programs in Alcalá. Study abroad programs at the Universidad de Alcalá are hosted by the Institute for North American Studies at Trinitaros College with whom we offer innovative programs such as the Spanish Heritage program for students with bilingual and bicultural backgrounds.This program provides 1,000 Euro (approximately $1,250) in scholarship monies per student and is in addition to the HSAS. |
