Hispanic Global Alliance The HSAS program is only one part of the broader Hispanic Global Alliance which aims to address the root causes of the gap in Hispanic Study Abroad.1. Financial Support (HSAS) Global Learning Semesters has committed to making available at least $8 million of study abroad scholarships over the next ten years through the Hispanic Study Abroad Scholars (HSAS) program and to working with HACU to look for additional opportunities for scholarships.2. Institutional Capacity Building Global Learning Semesters is making its expertise in operating study abroad programs available to HACU through training and technological tools that allow even the smallest HACU institution to operate an effective study abroad office.3. Program Development HACU and Global Learning Semesters have developed an advisory committee to guide the co-development of programs in Latin America.
